Book on ‘Keiko no va’: Analysis of Anti-Fujimorism on Social Media

This Friday, April 17, the presentation of the book 2016 Elections, Virtual Collectives, and Society: The Case of ‘Keiko no va’, by researcher Emilia Moscoso Carbonel, will take place in the Cercado de Lima. The event, organized by the editorial group Estación La Cultura, will be held at 8:00 p.m. at La Casona, located at Avenida 9 de Diciembre 203.

The work, published posthumously, offers a critical analysis of the anti-Fujimorist movement ‘Keiko no va’ on social media during the 2016 presidential elections. In it, Moscoso examines factors such as collective identity, ideology, and organization that supported this movement in a context where digital platforms were beginning to redefine civic participation.

The author, who holds a degree in Library Science, also addressed topics of political sociology and citizenship studies, and her research has been reflected in various academic articles. The presentation will feature Johel Pozo and Eduardo Arroyo Laguna, who will reflect on the relevance of the work in contemporary political analysis.
