Sutran Closes Touring de Conchán for Serious Violation and Suspends Services Until March 29

The Superintendence of Land Transportation of People, Cargo, and Goods (Sutran) has temporarily closed the evaluating center Touring and Automobile Club of Peru in Conchán, located at km 21.5 of the South Pan-American Highway, in the district of Villa El Salvador. This measure, which extends from March 20 to March 29, 2026, was adopted following a non-compliance detected during an internal review.

According to Sutran’s statement, the center failed to present the required documentation during the oversight process, which constitutes a serious violation under the National Regulation of the Driver’s License Issuance System (RSELIC). The agency emphasized that this deficiency affects the transparency of the driver evaluation process, as it hinders proper supervision by the authorities.

As a result, applicants cannot schedule appointments for the theoretical exam or the practical test until the disqualification is lifted. Those who had scheduled appointments received a message notifying them of the cancellation of their slots and the resumption of services starting March 30.

Sutran has insisted that it will continue to implement similar measures to ensure road safety in the country, as well as to reinforce standards in driver evaluations. For more information on recent events in Lima, you can consult the report on the incident involving cleaning workers.
