Fog in Lima TODAY: Senamhi’s Forecast for the Weekend

The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (Senamhi) has issued a forecast for this weekend, confirming the possibility of fog and drizzle in Lima and other coastal regions. According to Meteorological Notice No. 153, it is anticipated that cloud cover will intensify especially during the early mornings and the first hours of the day.

Between April 24 and 25, an increase in wind speed along the coast is expected, reaching up to 35 km/h in the north and 33 km/h in the center, which could cause dust lifting and a noticeable reduction in visibility. This situation will primarily affect the departments of Áncash, Arequipa, Callao, Ica, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Piura, and Lima.

Temperatures during this autumn will be above average, especially in districts close to the sea, where they will range between 17°C and 25°C. In areas further from the coast, values are expected to be between 16°C and 27°C. As reported in this note, the Coastal El Niño phenomenon will influence these weather conditions.
