Monthly Lifetime Bonus of S/1,130 to Be Paid This Year to 1,799 Armed Forces Veterans

Starting this year, a total of 1,799 veteran servicemen from the Armed Forces (FFAA) will begin receiving a monthly lifetime bonus of S/1,130 as recognition for their service in the fight against terrorism between 1980 and 2000. This first group consists of former combatants aged between 60 and 65, representing 20% of the 8,997 veterans recognized by the Joint Command of the FFAA.

The initiative, approved on March 15 in the Plenary of Congress through Bill 3385, also aims to benefit ex-military personnel with permanent disabilities. To receive the bonus, veterans must register in the Centralized Payroll Registry application, with a deadline until July 31, 2028.

Payments will be made in five groups, starting with those aged 60 to 65, followed by those aged 59 to 55, and so on. According to projections, different annual budgets will be required to cover all beneficiaries, starting with S/23,399,864 in the first year.
