This Monday, March 23, at 8:00 p.m., the National Jury of Elections (JNE) will kick off the presidential debates for the 2026 General Elections. The event will take place at the Lima Convention Center, located in San Borja, and will feature the participation of 35 candidates presenting their government proposals. The debates will unfold over six dates, starting with two sessions until Wednesday, March 25, and will continue the following week. A format has been designed to promote equal conditions, with the suspension of the electoral segment during the broadcasts. Moderation will be handled by journalists Claudia Chiroque and Fernando Carvallo. On the first day, candidates will discuss topics such as citizen security and the fight against corruption, organized into thematic blocks. Participants include Marisol Pérez Tello (Primero la Gente), José Luna (Podemos Perú), and Keiko Fujimori (Fuerza Popular). Coverage of the event will be broadcast live across RPP’s multiplatform, allowing citizens to follow every detail of the proposals.
