Japan ranks as the most educated country in the world, according to a recent study by Remitly. The research, which surveyed 4,600 people across 26 nations, revealed that 35.15% of participants highlighted Japanese courtesy, a value deeply rooted in their culture, where respect and harmony are fundamental in daily interactions. Canada follows in second place with 13.5% of mentions, and the United Kingdom comes in third with 6.23%. Both countries are recognized for their verbal kindness and, in the case of the UK, for their tradition of orderly queues. China and Germany complete the list of the five most educated countries, reflecting diverse ways of conceiving courtesy and respect on a global scale.
The Remitly survey not only focused on academic levels but also on cultural aspects such as kindness and interaction among citizens. It assessed how people perceive their own behavior and that of others, as well as the experiences of those who have traveled to these countries and have been received with varying degrees of hospitality.
