The Kremlin has categorically denied reports suggesting that Russia and the United States have negotiated the cessation of intelligence information sharing with Iran. In a press conference, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov labeled the claims about an agreement to stop providing data on U.S. troops in the Middle East in exchange for Washington halting information supply to Ukraine as false.
According to a report by Politico, Russian presidential envoy for economic affairs, Kiril Dmitriev, allegedly raised this proposal during a meeting with U.S. representative Steve Witkoff in Miami. However, the Kremlin has dismissed these claims as unfounded. Dmitriev also denied the veracity of the news on the social media platform X, which is banned in Russia.
This rumor arises amidst tensions between the powers, where speculation has suggested that Russia has been sharing information about the location of U.S. forces with Iran. This situation has been mocked by U.S. President Donald Trump, who downplayed concerns surrounding the issue, while Witkoff asserted that there was no basis for the allegations of information exchange between Russia and Iran.
