Jean Ferrari Responds to Nolberto Solano: Criticisms of the FPF and Alex Valera

Nolberto Solano’s criticisms of the management of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) and the performance of Alex Valera have elicited a strong response from Jean Ferrari, the FPF’s general football director. In a television program, Ferrari stated that Solano’s comments were unjustified, asserting that the former player lacks the credentials to comment after spending ten years in the federation without achieving significant results. “You start throwing sh*t and that’s wrong,” Ferrari expressed, referring to the recent statements made by ‘El Maestrito’. According to the executive, Solano should not criticize Valera, who is the current forward for the national team. “If there is something we should learn from Argentines, it is how they support each other,” Ferrari commented. He added that it is essential to motivate players instead of questioning their performance negatively. Furthermore, Ferrari recalled that Solano, despite his career as a footballer, was unsuccessful in his coaching stint. “To speak, one must have arguments and knowledge. If you don’t have them, it’s better not to speak,” he concluded. This exchange of words reflects the current tension surrounding the Peruvian national team, which is seeking to improve after its recent failures in international competitions.
