The president of the Peruvian Institute of Sport (IPD), Sergio Ludeña, confirmed that the fine of S/ 110,000 imposed by the Municipality of Lima (MML) for the event ‘Una Noche de Salsa 14’ will be assumed by the organizing company, Tropimusic Entertainment SAC. In an interview with RPP, Ludeña emphasized that the IPD will not incur any expenses, as the responsibility lies with the contracted company.
The temporary closure of the National Stadium was determined by the MML due to violations of municipal regulations, including offenses such as excessive noise and public order disturbances. Ludeña stated that the company did not comply with the schedules established in the contract, which led to the sanction.
Additionally, the IPD president mentioned that ten other non-sporting activities have been scheduled for this year that cannot be canceled due to already signed contracts. However, he stressed that starting in 2027, his management will prioritize the use of the stadium for sporting events, asserting that “football will take priority.” On another note, the IPD has submitted documents to Lima’s mayor, Renzo Reggiardo, to request the reopening of the stadium in the coming days. Ludeña hopes that with the presentation of these clarifications, the situation will be resolved quickly.
