The Penal Module of the Superior Court of Justice of Sullana was the venue for an emotional ceremony on March 24, 2026, where the blessing of the new image of the Lord Captive of Ayabaca took place. This event aims to strengthen the spiritual ties within the judicial community.
The president of the Court, Yone Pedro Li Córdova, opened the ceremony with a message about the importance of spiritual values in judicial work. He also emphasized the institution’s commitment to access to justice, especially for the most vulnerable populations.
During the event, Reverend Father Roland Castro Juárez urged attendees to entrust their daily work under the guidance of the Lord Captive of Ayabaca. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of commemorative cards, which included a song dedicated to the image, written by the Court’s president himself.
Additionally, the Brotherhood of the Lord Captive of Ayabaca was introduced, responsible for promoting devotion and organizing religious activities within the institution. This image will remain in the Penal Module as a symbol of faith and strength, supporting judges and judicial staff in their daily work.
