Sullana Court and Warmi Ñan Coordinate Actions to Strengthen Violence Response

The Superior Court of Justice of Sullana and the national program Warmi Ñan have established a collaboration to improve the handling of violence cases through the Flagrancy Unit. In a meeting between the Court’s president, Yone Pedro Li Córdova, and the program coordinator, Carlos Augusto Arcaya Mogollón, concrete actions were defined to strengthen this effort.

It was agreed that specialists from the three Emergency Women Centers (CEM) in the region will provide support in the preparation of reports and psychological assessments for cases of domestic violence and violence against women. Additionally, a temporary shelter will be offered for women victims of violence, allowing them to enter with their minor children.

Furthermore, training sessions for justice operators were proposed to establish clear guidelines for handling these cases. This initiative aims to improve institutional response and victim protection, thereby contributing to the prevention of violence in the community. Percy Gonzaga Correa, administrator of the Flagrancy Unit, was also present at the meeting.
