The comedy show Los Chistosos from RPP paid an emotional tribute to Manolo Rojas, who passed away on March 27 at the age of 63. Hosts Hernán Vidaurre and Daniel Marquina began the broadcast by recalling the career and legacy of the beloved comic actor, who was part of the show for 18 years. “Today is a very painful day for us. We will start the program without his presence,” Vidaurre expressed, highlighting Rojas’s human qualities. Marquina, for his part, fondly remembered how Manolo welcomed him to the show and supported him in his career. “I always admired him,” the communicator revealed. Patricia Alquinta, also present at the tribute, praised Vidaurre’s strength to continue with the program. “I know it’s not easy, but I see you strong,” she commented, while Román ‘El Ronco’ Gámez shared his deep sorrow, describing Rojas as a son. “I feel the loss of Manolo as if I had lost a son,” he said. Manolo Rojas’s remains were buried on March 29 at the Campo Fe cemetery in Huachipa, where over 500 people gathered to bid him farewell. The ceremony was marked by Juan Gabriel’s song “Amor eterno,” as family and friends offered their final goodbyes.
