Piero Arenas, a former member of the show ‘Esto es guerra’, is at the center of controversy following a report by a 19-year-old woman alleging sexual abuse. According to her testimony on the program ‘Magaly TV, la firme’, the complainant, identified as Marcela Sánchez, claimed she received financial offers to withdraw her legal case. The young woman, originally from Iquitos, traveled to Lima to formalize her complaint after intimate videos of her were circulated on social media.
According to her account, after the material went viral, she was contacted in an attempt to halt the progress of her case. “They offered me money so that I wouldn’t file the complaint and wouldn’t harm him,” Sánchez stated during the interview. The case has generated significant public interest and could result in a prison sentence of up to 20 years for Arenas.
The complainant also recounted that the context of her encounter with the former reality star involved alcohol consumption, and that she lost consciousness in a hotel, a situation she considers crucial for her allegations. Furthermore, she reiterated that her goal is not to obtain money, but to seek justice for what she believes is a serious harm to her personal life, exacerbated by the media exposure of her case.
