Wendy Sulca Apologizes Today: Controversy Over Farewell Post to Manolo Rojas

Wendy Sulca publicly apologized for a farewell post dedicated to comedian Manolo Rojas, who passed away at the age of 63. Through her official X account (formerly Twitter), the Peruvian singer clarified that the message, which included a video of a fictional scene, was shared by a member of her team and not by her directly. The artist expressed: “I want to offer my sincerest apologies for the video recently posted on my social media. As soon as I became aware of the content, I proceeded to delete the post immediately, as it was not appropriate.”

She assured that the intention was to pay tribute to someone she has always admired and respected. The controversy arose from including the wrong name of the comedian and scenes that were not suitable for the context of his passing. Negative comments on social media led Sulca to take responsibility for the mistake and reaffirm her respect for Rojas’ legacy.

The comedian was laid to rest at the Campo Fe cemetery in Huachipa, with the presence of family, friends, and entertainment figures who came to pay their respects. As we reported, his body was received with an emotional ceremony that brought together more than 500 people.
