Holcim in Peru: Closes Acquisition of Cementos Pacasmayo and Expects US$ 40 Million in Synergies

The Swiss multinational Holcim Ltd., recognized as the largest cement company in the world, has finalized the acquisition of an indirect majority stake in Cementos Pacasmayo. This company, one of the leading producers of construction materials in Peru, reported net sales of US$ 630 million in 2025. Holcim anticipates that this transaction, part of its global strategy “NextGen Growth 2030,” will generate annual synergies of approximately US$ 40 million by the third year.

Holcim’s CEO, Miljan Gutovic, expressed his satisfaction in welcoming over 2,000 employees of Cementos Pacasmayo, highlighting the added value this acquisition brings to the firm’s portfolio in the country. Founded 68 years ago, Cementos Pacasmayo operates three cement plants and 28 ready-mix concrete facilities. Its distribution network, which includes more than 300 stores, will be integrated into Disensa, Holcim’s construction materials franchise in the region.

Additionally, Holcim plans to implement its Code of Ethics at Cementos Pacasmayo and will launch a public tender offer (OPA) to acquire additional shares, complying with local regulations. This operation reinforces its commitment to the Peruvian market at a crucial time for the recovery of the construction sector, which seeks to boost new investments in infrastructure and housing.
