Sunat: Income Tax Declaration Schedule Begins March 26; 130,000 Taxpayers Have Already Complied

More than 130,000 taxpayers have submitted their Annual Income Tax Declaration for 2025, according to the National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat). This advance comes just days before the official start of the declaration schedule, which begins on March 26 and extends until April 13.

Sunat highlighted that this interest in fulfilling tax obligations is due to the ability to complete the process online, avoiding in-person procedures. The deadlines are determined by the last digit of each taxpayer’s RUC (Unique Taxpayer Registry).

The agency also clarified that there will be no extensions, except in exceptional cases where a state of emergency is declared due to natural disasters. Businesses and companies required to submit the declaration are those that, during 2025, incurred third-category income or losses, as well as those that conducted transactions subject to the Financial Transactions Tax (ITF).

For more details about this process, you can consult the Sunat portal. Sunat has also made virtual forms available and a personalized file with information to facilitate compliance with this obligation. For more information on the deadlines, visit the specialized portal renta.sunat.gob.pe.
