Alberto Gallardo Stadium: What Changes Will Sporting Cristal’s Adaptation Plan Bring?

Sporting Cristal has taken an important step towards modernizing its infrastructure with the initiation of the adaptation plan for the Alberto Gallardo Stadium. Óscar Moral, the club’s Commercial and Marketing Manager, confirmed that this project will allow for hosting Copa Libertadores matches and night games in Liga1. In an exclusive interview with RPP, Moral emphasized that work has been underway since the beginning of the year to meet the requirements set by Conmebol for international events. “It is a joint effort involving local entities. We have made progress in several areas, but we need the necessary authorizations to finalize the project,” he stated.

Additionally, the manager mentioned that this will be the “largest investment” made by the club. “We want the stadium to be in optimal conditions to host Conmebol tournaments and provide better facilities for the fans,” he asserted. According to Moral, this effort will not only benefit Sporting Cristal but also Peruvian football as a whole. This project adds to recent news in national football, such as the clash between Sekou Gassama and Deyverson in a friendly match, which you can read about here.
