Tacna: Body of Businesswoman Found Under Concrete, Possible Homicide Investigated

The lifeless body of Daysi Rojas Quenta (65), a businesswoman who ran a bus company between Tacna and Arica, was discovered in her home in Tacna. This tragic finding came after her family reported her missing and decided to enter the house with the help of a locksmith. Authorities reported that Rojas’ body was hidden under a staircase, in an area where a concrete wall had been built. In the living room of her home, family members found bags of cement, which heightened suspicions of a possible homicide. The representative of the Public Ministry indicated that there was an attempt to conceal the body under concrete. The police had to excavate and demolish part of the structure to recover the remains, which were wrapped in a blanket.

During the time she was missing, friends of the victim received messages from her WhatsApp, claiming she was traveling. However, investigators believe these messages may have been sent by the perpetrator of the crime. The doors of the house showed no signs of forced entry, suggesting that the responsible party could have been someone trusted. Forensic experts are analyzing the crime scene, while neighbors have offered access to their security cameras to assist in the investigation. Rojas’ body has been transported to the local morgue for the necessary autopsy to determine the cause of her death.
