Third-class officer Jonatan Velázquez Ypanaqué, a member of the Green Squadron, was shot dead near his home in the Las Fresas urbanization, Callao. The attack occurred when the victim, who was off-duty, left his residence on Miguel Grau Street. Witnesses reported that a hooded individual dressed in black approached and shot him four times, resulting in his immediate death. Security cameras in the area captured moments leading up to the crime, showing the suspect loitering in the vicinity. Following the attack, agents from the Juan Ingunza police station arrived at the scene to initiate the necessary investigations. Images of the perpetrator are currently under analysis by specialized units. It is worth mentioning that Velázquez Ypanaqué had been suspended since late 2025 due to an administrative investigation. According to his family, he received a call that led him to Miguel Grau Street, just four blocks from his residence. Details of the case and the investigation he was facing remain confidential.
