2026 Elections: Where and When Candidates Will Close Their Campaigns Today

On Thursday, April 9, presidential candidates will conclude their electoral campaigns in various locations across Lima, Callao, and other regions of the country. This date marks the end of campaigning activities, as tomorrow the electoral silence will take effect ahead of the General Elections scheduled for Sunday.

Among the most notable events, the candidate from Renovación Popular, Rafael López Aliaga, will meet with his supporters at Campo de Marte in Jesús María starting at 5:00 p.m. Meanwhile, congressman and current candidate from Unidad Popular, Roberto Chiabra, will hold his closing event in Callao from 3:00 p.m. The candidate from Fuerza Popular, Keiko Fujimori, will conduct a rally at 7:00 p.m. in Villa El Salvador. Additionally, Carlos Álvarez from the País para Todos party will gather in Lurigancho-Chosica at 5:00 p.m., while former minister Jorge Nieto from the Partido del Buen Gobierno has a similar event scheduled on Avenida 9 de diciembre at the same time.
