With just days to go before the elections on April 12, the latest survey from the Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (IEP) reveals that Keiko Fujimori and Rafael López Aliaga remain at the top of the voting intention rankings, but without significant changes. Fujimori stands at 10% and López Aliaga at 8.7%. They are followed by Carlos Álvarez from the País para Todos party, with 6.9%, and Roberto Sánchez from Juntos por el Perú, with 6.7%. In fifth and sixth place are Alfonso López Chau from Ahora Nación, with 6.4%, and Jorge Nieto from the Partido del Buen Gobierno, with 5.4%. A notable increase has been observed for Ricardo Belmont, the former mayor of Lima, who has risen from 2.4% in January to 5.2% in March after participating in the presidential debates.
Additionally, 48% of respondents state that their vote is already decided, while 22% may change it. This trend indicates an increase in vote determination compared to previous months. Regarding party preference, 55% of voters will choose the same party in the elections for senators and deputies, a significant increase since February.
