The educational community of Huarmaca, in the Piura region, is on alert following the discovery of threatening graffiti in two local schools. This finding was made last Sunday when residents of the hamlets of Maza and Casaguay reported red paint inscriptions on the walls of Educational Institutions No. 20119 and 14591, which contained death threats. In response to this situation, school authorities decided to suspend classes as a precautionary measure.
The National Police arrived at the scene to investigate the incidents and collect evidence. According to initial inquiries, the perpetrators likely acted during the early morning hours, taking advantage of the lack of surveillance in the area. Edi Mío Suyón, director of UGEL Huarmaca, stated that the authors have not yet been identified, nor is the motive behind these threats known. “The police have already arrived at the location to document the evidence and have proceeded to erase the graffiti,” Suyón expressed, urging the community to remain calm while investigations are underway.
