June 25 will be a key date for fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender, as Netflix has confirmed the premiere of the second season of its live-action series. The new installment promises more action and the arrival of the popular Toph Beifong, a highly anticipated character among followers. The series trailer reveals that this season will be much more ambitious.
Gordon Cormier, who plays Aang, stated: “The second season is insane.” Kiawentiio, in the role of Katara, also emphasized that “this season is definitely superior.” Dallas Liu, who portrays Prince Zuko, expressed his excitement about delving into the “true story” following the first season.
In this new phase, Aang, Katara, and Sokka will embark on a mission to persuade the Earth King to join the fight against Fire Lord Ozai. Toph Beifong, played by Miya Cech, will be a key figure in Team Avatar. The cast also includes, in addition to Cormier and Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley as Sokka and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Iroh.
