The excitement in Peruvian volleyball has surged following San Martín’s qualification for the final of the 2025-26 Peruvian Volleyball League. The team secured their spot by defeating Universitario in an exhilarating ‘extra game’ with a score of 3-2, in a match held at the Polideportivo Lucha Fuentes in Villa El Salvador. With this victory, San Martín is set to face Alianza Lima, the reigning champion of the tournament, in pursuit of a new title.
Through their social media, the club celebrated the achievement with the message: “Another final, together! Let’s go for more.” The match against Universitario featured sets of 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 18-25, and 15-13, highlighting the competitiveness of both teams.
The final between San Martín and Alianza Lima will be played in a home-and-away format. The first match is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, while the return match will take place on April 26.
