André Carrillo: Mano Menezes Demands Greater Commitment from the Peruvian National Team

The coach of the Peruvian National Team, Mano Menezes, has emphasized the need for André Carrillo to commit more to the team. According to Menezes, the midfielder has the potential to offer much more, and it is essential to provide him with the necessary reasons to unleash his talent.

“I met André Carrillo in Arabia when he played for Al-Hilal and I was at Al-Nassr. That’s when we started talking about football and getting to know each other,” the coach commented in a recent interview on Brazil’s GOAT Channel. “Now our relationship is different, as coach and player. Carrillo is a complete athlete, and we need to motivate him to perform at his best,” he added.

Menezes analyzed the player’s performances in recent friendlies against Senegal and Honduras, noting that despite being in a successful phase of his career, it is necessary to find the right motivation for Carrillo to fully commit to the National Team. “Players go through different moments in their lives. André is fulfilled both professionally and financially, so we need to give him reasons to engage with us,” the coach concluded.

The Peruvian National Team is preparing for its upcoming friendly against Spain, scheduled for June 8 in Puebla, Mexico, as reported in recent news.
