Condensed Milk Recall TODAY: Over 43,000 Cans of Parmalat Due to Health Risks

Health alert in Peru. The National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) has reported the recall of over 43,000 cans of condensed milk from the brand Parmalat, after detecting irregularities in its quality control. The company Lactalis Peru S.A.C. announced that batch No. 892-8 did not meet the expected standards, leading to the decision to remove the product from the market. The batch in question exhibited a solidification process that could compromise consumer health.

Indecopi recommended that the public carefully review labeling and avoid purchasing or consuming these units. According to the report, this defect may affect the proper intake of the product and, therefore, pose a potential health risk. Tests conducted by the company NSF INASSA S.A.C. confirmed that some products from the batch had values outside acceptable ranges. Following this finding, a notarial destruction of the batch was carried out to prevent it from re-entering the market. For more information, consumers can contact 913 529 537.
