ONP TODAY: Payment Schedule for Pensioners under Law 19990

Starting today, April 9, retirees from the National Pension Office (ONP) can collect their pensions for the month of April. According to the Bank of the Nation, payments will be made in a staggered manner, depending on the initial letter of each beneficiary’s last name. The payment schedule is as follows:

  • Letters A – C: April 9
  • Letters D – L: April 10
  • Letters M – Q: April 13
  • Letters R – Z: April 14

Pensioners can make their withdrawals through bank branches, ATMs, or authorized agents. Additionally, other pension schemes under the ONP, such as Decree Law No. 18846, will receive their payments on April 15.

The ONP operates on a public pension system where contributions from active workers finance retirees. Unlike AFPs, which function under an individual capitalization system, the ONP offers fixed pensions regardless of contributions made.
