Hernán Barcos: “I Came to Play in the Second Division with Alianza Lima”

Hernán Barcos revealed that his arrival at Alianza Lima was marked by the intention to play in the Second Division. In an interview with Enfocados, the Argentine forward explained that he signed a contract to compete in Liga2, although the club’s situation changed rapidly. “It was a very nice challenge; we came to play in the Second Division, with the hope and dream of returning to Alianza where I belonged,” commented Barcos, who highlighted the support he felt from day one alongside his family. “I came to the Second Division. I came with a Second Division contract,” he added.

The first days of training were not easy. Barcos met with Jefferson Farfán to discuss how to handle the transition to the First Division. “Ten days later, Mr. Farfán arrived, we got together to talk and started training. I hadn’t played for a year, so we were a bit rusty,” he explained. After eleven days of preparation, the team was ready to debut, facing Cusco FC. Barcos, who has made a significant mark on the club, expressed optimism regarding the future of Alianza Lima, as can be consulted in more details about his career.
